From Bleeding Scares to Career-Best Wins!

"If you have ever sat watching and waiting for your turn to run at the world-famous Pendleton Round-up, it’s no secret that the Green Mile is a challenging course. With a 28-second pattern being fast, not only is the distance daunting, but the grass adds another challenge. I actually entered my first two years of professional rodeo and drew out. Many had told me, “Don’t do it unless you have to.” Many horse bleed

and can’t handle the distance. I have been twice, with my second experience being far superior thanks to ReCellerate. In 2024 with encouragement from my husband, I decided to give it a try. The first round went well and we placed in the round, making it back to the short round. I had been making runs all year and thought that I had had my horse prepared. When it came time for the short round, I forgot my Lasix on time! My horse Easy was a rock star and tried super hard for me. He even gained speed on the way home, placing in the short round and the average. But when I completed my run, I heard him take a deep breath in that sounded wet and gurgling. He also didn’t seem content and wanted to go back to the trailer quickly. So, we headed back and once I unsaddled him, I took him to some grass as I filled my water bucket. When he picked up his head, I noticed a small stream of blood coming from one of his nostrils! That’s when I knew that my horse had bled. I felt so bad and can only imagine how uncomfortable he must have been.

He had had one other episode of bleeding the year before when I went to Denver and he was stalled at the facility. With the heat running constantly and the strong ammonia smell, he developed an acute exacerbation of asthma. It took me almost 6 months to get him back to being healthy, running and winning again. He went through a course of antibiotics and oral steroids. I had to draw out of the California rodeos and miss those that I had entered, but I wanted to do what was best for him! After Pendleton, he started on antibiotics right away. and I just knew that the recovery time would be long. But I kept seeing posts on Facebook and started to research EquiFlow by ReCellerate. I also asked fellow professionals if they had tried ReCellerate. Shelly Morgan told me she used it on Kiss and she was happy with the results. So, in January I made my first order. I completed the loading doses as recommended following the protocols closely as instructed. I was very happy with the results. He was back to winning and placed both rounds and the average in Red Bluff, California in April. Just 3 months later. I feel like his recovery time was cut in half. So, this year at Pendleton, I entered Slack specifically so that he could get five days of rest knowing that bleeding was a risk. At this point, I was giving him ReCellerate once a month as a maintenance. But I decided to give him an extra dose after my first run and go very lightly until Day Five. On that day, I still used Lasix, but half as much as usual. “Easy” came through, running a beautiful pattern and gaining speed on the way home. Winning the short round fast time. We ended up third in the average, winning over $10,000 for the week. But the best part, he didn’t bleed! Writing a testimony about EquiFlow is easy for me! My personal experience proved the product can improve recovery time, and improve my horses’ performance long-term, and short term. I will continue to use this product mainly for the safety and well-being of my horse, but also to avoid as many drugs and needles as possible. “Easy” and I turned one of the most challenging runs, into one of my biggest career wins, thanks to ReCellerate."
